Adding & Managing Domains
SenderFortify monitors root domains and their subdomains independently. Each root domain counts against your plan limit; subdomains are unlimited.
Root domains
A root domain (e.g. acmecorp.com) is the primary unit of
monitoring. Adding a root domain starts the scan cycle for that domain and
all its registered subdomains.
Subdomains
Subdomains (e.g. mail.acmecorp.com, marketing.acmecorp.com)
are scanned separately from the root on a 6-hour cycle. They must be added manually
from the domain's detail view — the scanner runs checks on subdomains you have
registered but does not auto-discover them. You can also trigger a manual scan
on any individual subdomain at any time. Subdomains do not count toward your
domain limit.
Custom DKIM selectors
By default SenderFortify probes a set of common DKIM selectors
(selector1, selector2, google, mail, etc.).
If your client uses a non-standard selector, add it in the domain's
Settings tab under Custom DKIM Selectors.
Multiple selectors can be added as a comma-separated list.
Suppressing checks
Individual checks can be suppressed per domain if a finding is a known
accepted risk (e.g. a client intentionally uses p=none during a
DMARC rollout). Suppressed checks still appear in the dashboard but are
excluded from the posture score and will not trigger alerts.
Deleting a domain
Deleting a domain removes all scan history, violations, and alerts associated with it. This cannot be undone. The domain slot is released back to your plan limit immediately.
